PA1012-55 - LWWMD GROWING GREENER PROJECT
During July and early August, we continued with basic maintenance, including battery charging, rain gage clean-out, etc. We received repaired parts damaged by past flooding and restored the Purdy Creek and West Branch stations to full operation, including reprogramming and reinstallation of in-stream probes and intakes. Additionally, we had the phone line connection corrected at the Diamond Run station. The probe and intake housing structures at all stations were cleared of sediment and debris, and all stations were set-up to collect stormwater samples through phone command.
Data from all stations were downloaded weekly (at a minimum). Upon download, the data were entered into their respective databases created by the Flowlink 4.15 software. All data were analyzed immediately upon download to ensure that the stations were working properly. April data for all stations were added to the respective calculations spreadsheets created for this project.

1. Discussed project with Karen Mandeville on several occasions.
During the month of July 2005, F. X. Browne, Inc. performed the following tasks:
1. Prepared for and attended the July Board meeting,
2. Received 11 beach samples from Karen Mandeville and ran E. Coli Bacteria laboratory analyses on the samples. Two of the
beach samples (Indian Rocks Upper Beach and Tanglewood Dock) exceeded the PADOH standards for E. Coli Bacteria on July
8, 2005, and
3. Held telephone conversations with Karen Mandeville regarding various topics.
F. X. Browne, Inc. coordinated the July 2005 sampling events for Lake Wallenpaupack. On July 5, 2005, we collected surface, middle, and bottom water samples for chemical analysis at Station #3, and on July 20, 2005, we collected surface, middle, and bottom water samples for chemical analysis at Stations #1, #3, and #5. In addition, on each sampling date we collected photic zone composite samples for chlorophyll a and phytoplankton analyses. We also collected temperature and dissolved oxygen profile data at 1 meter intervals from the surface to the bottom. We then transported all samples to our laboratory in Marshalls Creek and analyzed them for total phosphorus, dissolved reactive phosphorus, total Kjeldahl nitrogen, nitrate/nitrite nitrogen, ammonia nitrogen, total suspended solids, alkalinity (surface samples only), and pH.
A summary of the water quality data for June and July 2005 is provided in Appendix A.
