PA Stream Management Conference The Penn State Cooperative Extension is proud to announce their 2nd Annual North Central Region Water Quality Conference. The conference title is “Streamside: Managing and Working within Stream Areas” and is slated for Saturday, June 5, 2004 at the Clinton County Extension Office in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania. This year it will focus on streams and how landowners can best manage the stream running through their property. Conference topics range from stream ecology to aquatic insects. This is a great opportunity for residents in North Central Pennsylvania to get their water questions answered and interact with water experts from the School of Forest Resources at PSU, Extension Educators from Penn State Cooperative Extension, Environmental Agency Personnel, and Local Watershed Organization Leadership. In addition, the PA Department of Agriculture has assigned one core pesticide credit for anyone who attends the daylong workshop. A brochure and registration form is available from the McKean County Extension Office in Smethport. (814-887-5613) or by e-mailing Jim Clark at jac20@psu.edu. The registration deadline is Friday, May 21, 2004. |
