PA Water Trails Development Workshop

The Pennsylvania Recreation and Parks Society is sponsoring a one-day Water Trail Workshop on developing and managing water trails from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., May 26. The workshop will be held at the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission headquarters, 1601 Elmerton Ave., Harrisburg.  Join water trail experts in discussing the opportunities and challenges related to water trail development. Participants will hear about the many benefits of water trails including the benefits to local economies, recreational benefits, and the importance of water trails in conserving and protecting Pennsylvania’s waterways. This workshop is recommended for local project managers of water trails, municipal officials, planners, volunteer stewards, watershed groups, and representatives from regional planning agencies.
