Geomorphology in Stream Assessment and Stabilization Workshops

The Champlain Watershed Improvement Coalition of New York, in conjunction with the Greene County Soil and Water District and the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, will be sponsoring a series of workshops on the use of geomorphology in stream assessment and stabilization. The first session is scheduled for April 8 and 9, and the second session is scheduled for May 13 and 14. These two sessions will be held at the Comfort Inn on Route 3 in Plattsburgh, NY. The final session will be a four-day training held in Greene County, New York, sometime later in the year. The workshops will cover all aspects of the topic from inventory and assessment, data evaluation and alternatives development. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and preference will be given to people who register for all three workshops.
