NJPDES Municipal Stormwater Permit Workshops
Now that your New Jersey municipality has its NJPDES general stormwater permit authorization, what is next? What does your municipality have to do? What about new development, Residential Site Improvement Standards (RSIS), and how does the county fit in? Do you need to sweep streets, retrofit storm drain inlets and why can't residents pile leaves at the curb? When does this all need to be completed? This workshop will answer all those question and more. It will attempt to make some sense of the sometimes complex new stormwater regulations and make sure that your municipality has the information needed to comply with the NJPDES general stormwater permit requirements. The workshop, conducted by NJDEP staff from the Bureau of Nonpoint Pollution Control, the Division of Watershed Management, and the Land Use Regulation Program, will cover all NJPDES permit requirements, the Stormwater Management rules and discuss the interrelationship of the Municipal Stormwater Management Plan and Ordinance, the Residential Site Improvement Standards (RSIS), and the Department's Land Use Regulation Program permits, as well as the role of the county review agency. For more information, call (732) 932-9271 or visit http://www.cookce.rutgers.edu. Workshop times and dates are:
South: July 13, 2004 at Rowan University North: July 20, 2004 at Morristown Fire and Police Academy Central: July 29, 2004 at Cook College, Rutgers University
