PA DEP Growing Greener Watershed GrantsDEP
will be accepting applications for watershed restoration and protection grants
for the sixth year of Growing Greener until March 5, 2004. For 2004, DEP plans
to invest in a variety of watershed projects, including: organizing watershed
groups; watershed assessments and development of watershed restoration and
protection plans; implementation of watershed restoration or protection
projects; operation, maintenance and repair; technical assistance; education and
outreach programs; reclaiming abandoned mines and oil and gas wells; and
addressing acid mine drainage polluted streams. With the same application,
applicants can apply for additional funding through the DEP’s source water
