Villanova Stormwater BMP Workshop

Villanova University’s Urban Stormwater Partnership and DEP’s Southeast Regional Office are sponsoring a workshop and tour of Best Management Practices (BMP) for stormwater management from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Aug. 17 at the university. The target audience includes engineers, architects, planners, stormwater professionals and those directly involved in managing stormwater. The agenda includes presentations on stormwater permitting, lessons learned from BMP monitoring and a tour of Villanova’s BMP Stormwater Research and Demonstration Park. The walking tour will include stormwater wetlands, a bio-infiltration traffic island, a porous concrete infiltration site, an infiltration trench, and a seepage pit (over 90 years old!).
