NJ DEP Launches Email Compliance Advisory System

As part of a sweeping effort to increase public access to information, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP) Division of Compliance and Enforcement recently launched an email advisory system to directly notify the public of upcoming compliance initiatives.

The compliance advisory listserv provides email messages alerting subscribers of compliance issues affecting regulated industries. Each advisory issued outlines compliance initiatives, lists regulated groups affected by the initiative, and describes steps that regulated parties may take to attain compliance. Compliance advisories enable the regulated community to improve compliance with DEP regulations before compliance actions begin, possibly eliminating DEP's need to undertake compliance and enforcement action.
