NJ 319 Grant Application Deadline Approaching

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Watershed Management's Statewide Nonpoint Source (NPS) Program is pleased to announce the opening of the state fiscal year (SFY) 2005 federal Clean Water Act Section 319(h) grant cycle. Government entities and nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply. The goal of the program is the development of implementable watershed-based plans to protect and restore identified water bodies throughout the state as well as the realization of projects that will achieve load reductions as detailed in TMDLs. The mandatory pre-application intent to apply form is due on Friday, April 30, 2004. Meetings will then be scheduled with each potential applicant to discuss project logistics by June 15, 2004.
