Watershed Management and Planning

F. X. Browne, Inc. is nationally-recognized as an expert in watershed management and has performed over 75 watershed management projects in 14 states. These projects have included stream and lake monitoring, land use analysis, watershed non-point source pollution inventories, open space needs assessment, ordinance development, water quality modeling, pollution budget development, public education and outreach programs, and management plan development.

Watershed Inventories

An integral part of almost all of our watershed projects is performing inventories of point and non-point sources of pollution throughout each watershed. We have developed proprietary procedures for inventorying non-point sources in the watershed which combines the use of aerial and GIS maps along with on-site investigation. The result is a detailed inventory of watershed problems that are listed and described in a priority-ranking matrix.
