F. X. Browne, Inc. created a GIS database and maps to assist in the development of a watershed management plan for Lake Carey. A major component of our GIS database included the location and suitability of soils for various on-site wastewater treatment systems. Our database was used to evaluate wastewater treatment and disposal options including on-site disposal, decentralized wastewater management, and centralized wastewater management. Our GIS program was used to meet the new DEP antidegradation regulations that promote decentralized wastewater management.
