Hydrologic and Hydraulic Analyses |
F.. X. Browne, Inc. conducts hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) studies, including drainage studies, channel improvement and hydraulic structures design, watershed modeling, watershed impact analyses, flood insurance studies, hydraulic structures conveyance capacity analyses, and dam studies. These studies include detailed reviews of soil types, land cover, topography, waterways, and structures present within the study area. F. X. Browne, Inc. works with the clients and regulatory agencies in order to determine the required design storms and project-specific requirements. F. X. Browne, Inc. uses the widely accepted HEC-1/HEC-HMS and Hydraflow software to model the study area and determine the peak flow rates for various different hydrologic events. F. X. Browne, Inc. then uses HEC-RAS software to route the stormwater flows through the watershed and obtain water elevations, velocities, shear stresses, and flooding limits for each design storm. The results of these analyses are used for the project-specific needs in order to design the proposed or necessary improvements.
F. X. Browne, Inc. performs a variety of other services closely related to Hydrologic and Hydraulic Analysis, including:
