F. X. Browne, Inc. has received numerous state and national awards for our contributions toward preserving and protecting the environment. One of our projects received the “Take Pride in America” award presented at the White House. One of our innovative stormwater management projects for Shawnee Development received the “Take Pride in Pennsylvania” award. In 2001, F. X. Browne, Inc. also received the “Outstanding Corporation” award from the North American Lake Management Society (NALMS). In 2004, three of our completed projects have won awards: The Greenway Plan we developed for the Crosswicks Creek/Doctors Creek Watershed Regional Planning Group, with the combined support of six municipal environmental commissions, received an award from the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions (ANJEC) for its multiple-town cooperative effort. The plan identifies preservation and management strategies to protect water quality and scenic, historic and recreational resources. The Twin and Walker Creeks Watershed Conservancy of Shohola, Pike County, received an Environmental Partnership Award from Northeastern Pennsylvania Environmental Partners for promoting a better understanding of their watershed and its ecosystem, and protecting, restoring, and enhancing the watershed through proper management and stewardship. F. X. Browne, Inc. prepared the management plan for the Twin Walker Creeks Watershed, and we conduct an annual water quality monitoring program for the Conservancy’s volunteer monitors. The Central Avenue Wastewater Treatment Facility, designed by F. X. Browne, Inc. for Burlington Township, New Jersey, received the 2004 New Jersey Environmental Excellence Award for Innovative Technology. The first of its kind in the U.S., this innovative 3.65 million gallon per day Phased Isolation Ditch treatment plant saved the township $4 million in construction costs and continues to save thousands of dollars each year in operations and maintenance costs. F. X. Browne, Inc. has a Pennsylvania and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP and NJDEP) certified water quality laboratory. F. X. Browne, Inc. uses the latest computer technology including color graphics, computer-aided drafting and design (CAD), geographic information systems (GIS), global positioning systems (GPS), and desktop publishing and photo editing software. We use state-of-the-art hydraulics, hydrology, and water quality modeling software, and statistical analysis and database management software, which enable us to provide the highest quality services for our clients.
