The Teedyuskung Creek Restoration Project

Model Ordinance Development

Model ordinances were developed for stormwater management, riparian buffer zones, and natural resource protection. The stormwater management ordinance requires that post-development runoff peak rate, volume and quality equal pre-development conditions.

The riparian buffer ordinance includes a 75 foot, 2-stage riparian buffer to provide water quality and wildlife benefits.

The natural resources ordinance requires the identification and protection of environmentally sensitive site resources.

A manual of low-impact development principles and practices is presently being developed.
